PolygonsPolygons are 2-D shapes formed by straight lines. Triangles, rectangles, pentagons, and hexagons are all polygons. In general, an n-gon is a polygon with n sides and n vertices. The diagonals of a polygon are line segments that link non-adjacent vertices (two at a time). An n-gon always has n(n - 3)/2 diagonals.
